There was one time in my life when I felt I just couldn’t get started. Perhaps you’ve heard of the quote from Lao Tzu – “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Usually that helps me get going, but at that time it wasn’t enough. I couldn’t even take that first step. I was stuck. Then I came across this alternate translation – “The journey of a thousand miles begins beneath one’s feet.” This slight word change opened me up. It meant I’d already begun – just standing there, wanting to start. Realizing that gave me the momentum to get moving again.
